After getting to Atlanta, I got off the beer can plane which was too small to pull up to a terminal. We had to go down a ramp thing outside then up a service entrance. Good thing it was a beautiful day out. I stopped at the Delta desk at the gate as I walked in and got on standby to the next flight to D.C. then went to the gate for that flight. Somehow I was 2nd on the standby list even though there were people that had been there for about 3 hours waiting. It looked like there was only going to be 1 seat on the plane to D.C. and I got bumped down to third on the standby list, but I made it onto the plane. I feel sorry for the people that were behind me. They pulled the person that was in front of me off the plane but not me. Wow amazing that I got out of Atlanta on the first flight to D.C. I only spent about an hour in Atlanta. This picture is from the exit row seat (ah legroom is great) as we taxied out.
